Craig S. Murphey, Sr.

Senior Vice President/Investments

Craig began his investment industry career in 1995 and joined Stifel in 2009, where he is responsible for more than $150 million in assets.  Prior to Stifel, he worked for UBS Financial Services and Merrill Lynch.  Before transitioning to the financial industry, he served as a consultant to the electric power industry with a specific focus on nuclear power plant redesign.

Outside the office, Craig enjoys giving back to his community.  He serves as a Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America, has volunteered with the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity, and served as finance chairman for St. Joseph Catholic School and as chairman of the Mount de Sales board of trustees.

Craig earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and holds Series 7, 31, 63, and 65 securities licenses.  Born and raised in Macon, he and his wife Dawn have been married since 1989 and are the parents of two grown sons.

Stephen Murphey

Financial Advisor

Stephen began working alongside his father at Stifel in early 2022.  Prior to this, he spent four years with BASF in the kaolin industry, where he worked as an Industrial Engineer within their MidGA sites.  He also previously worked in the aviation industry as a pricing analyst with Delta Material Services in Atlanta, Georgia.

Stephen earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.  Since his departure from the engineering world, he now holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.

In his free time, Stephen enjoys traveling, woodworking, and watching college football, where you’ll find him on his porch watching the Yellow Jackets most Saturdays in the fall.  He and his wife, Lauren, live in Forsyth.

Leigh Taylor

Client Service Associate

Leigh joined Stifel in 2022 after working at CGR Credit Union for more than 17 years, including as an Assistant Branch Manager.  Her main focus is delivering top-tier service and developing long-lasting relationships with the team’s clients.  Leigh’s responsibilities include serving clients’ needs by processing wire transfer transactions, opening new accounts, and processing necessary paperwork.  She also coordinates client meetings, reviews, and client communications. 

Outside of the office, Leigh enjoys watching University of Georgia football on Saturdays and reading in her spare time.  She and her husband, Paul, live in Forsyth.
